Destiny. It was something they’d all come to live with. Living with life; it was a small irony to her; a joke, even. Everyone had a destiny. You could do two things with it. Accept it and move on, or tell it to go to hell and spend what was left of your life trying to kick its ass.
The tragedy was that everyone was destined to die, even those who evaded the path of their past selves. Whether in glory or in vain, death was the one gift Fate had given to them all – Demon King and civilian alike – without bias or judgement.

The sound of splintering wood and the screech of birds was heard for miles away.
Of course, more than that had reached Teifu. He smiled. Ryomou Shimei was not like other girls, and if that ever changed, the sky would probably fall. He pulled out his keys, the low purr of the scooter petering off into silence. His keys jangled lightly before he slipped them into his pocket and began to walk into the deeper recesses of the forest, old leaves crunching beneath his feet.

Ryomou sighed as she glanced out the window, her thoughts turning away from her arithmetic books. Rainy days, cloudy days or fine days… sometimes, it didn’t matter. There were just days when she couldn’t bear to be locked away. She had slept well last night, she’d eaten breakfast – what was it about today that made her feel so stifled?

I don't know why she gives that vibe...maybe it's just from the ..."extra dialogue" for Ryomou in the english manga...which I hope was simply gratuitous english bulls******g and not what she was in japanese -_-
